1993 Polaris Indy Lite

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Just to make it more trail friendly and comfortable to ride.

What motivated you to start your project?

I had no sled after graduating from tech school and my uncle gave me this sled for something to ride. After one year it became clear that the suspension couldn’t support the miles of trails I was riding. I decided to upgrade it to Xtra 10, I came across the 136″ so naturally I decided to build a rocky mountain king (modeled after a XLT RMK).

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the sled?

I added a custom laser cut fuel tank mount that says Indy Lite RMK, it is also spaced above the brake light so it is still visable.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that it is still a functional trail sled and has been reliable for over 1,000 miles since it’s been modified.

What do other people say about your sled?

Depends who you ask, people my age say it’s slow, older generations who appreciate the Indys like the fact that it is not completely hacked up and rattle canned.
